What a Four-Hour Benchmark Run Actually Looks Like

A minute-by-minute walkthrough of our standard ASIC testing protocol in the Daegu lab.

Clients sometimes ask what happens to their hardware during the four hours it spends on our bench. This is the sequence we follow for every Performance Benchmark Report.

Hour 0: Intake and Baseline

The unit is photographed from four angles. Serial numbers are recorded. We verify the stock power supply model and cable gauge. A 10-minute idle draw measurement establishes standby consumption before hashing begins.

Hour 0–0.5: Ramp and Stabilization

The unit connects to our dedicated test pool wallet. We allow 30 minutes for hashrate to stabilize. If accepted shares do not reach within 5% of advertised rate, we contact you before proceeding.

Hour 0.5–4: Sustained Load

Power analyzer samples at 1 Hz. Temperature loggers record inlet and exhaust every 60 seconds. At the 2-hour mark we capture a thermal image. Fan RPM is logged at 15-minute intervals.

Hour 4: Cooldown and Data Export

Hashing stops. We record a 10-minute cooldown curve. Raw CSV data exports from the analyzer. Min-seok Choi reviews the dataset for anomalies — sudden watt spikes, hashrate drops, or temperature excursions — before signing the report.

Turnaround

Report drafting takes 4–8 hours of analyst time after the run completes. Standard delivery is 1 business day after the run; expedited service compresses this to same-day release.
