Benchmark Lab
Our Daegu testing facility, calibrated equipment, and the protocol behind every joules-per-terahash report.
The Facility
Our benchmark lab occupies a 42-square-meter converted warehouse bay in Jung-gu, Daegu. The space houses two isolated test benches, an environmental monitoring station, and secure hardware storage for units awaiting pickup or return shipment.
Each bench is electrically isolated on a dedicated 30-amp circuit with its own breaker, eliminating cross-contamination from neighboring equipment. Bench surfaces are grounded ESD mats; humidity is maintained between 40–55% RH.
Calibrated Equipment
| Instrument | Model | Purpose | Last Calibration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power analyzer | Yokogawa WT310E | Wall-draw measurement, 0.1 W resolution | March 2025 |
| Environmental logger | Onset HOBO MX2301A | Inlet/exhaust temperature, 1-min intervals | February 2025 |
| Thermal camera | FLIR E8-XT | Junction and board hotspot imaging | January 2025 |
| Sound meter | Extech SL355 | Noise at 1 m during comparative runs | March 2025 |
| Network tap | MikroTik RB750Gr3 | Pool share verification, latency logging | N/A (firmware) |
Calibration certificates are available on request with any benchmark report.
Environmental Chamber
For comparative rig analysis, we run units inside a partially enclosed hot-aisle simulation with controlled inlet airflow. A 0.5 HP inline duct fan delivers adjustable CFM to replicate farm conditions between 20°C and 30°C inlet. This is not a climate-controlled clean room — it is a practical replication of the temperatures Korean hosting facilities actually experience.
The Protocol
Every standard benchmark follows the same sequence:
- Intake documentation — photos, serial numbers, PSU verification
- Idle baseline — 10-minute standby draw measurement
- Ramp — 30-minute hashrate stabilization against our test pool
- Sustained load — 4 hours at stock firmware and factory frequency
- Cooldown — 10-minute post-hash power curve
- Analysis — J/TH calculation, spec comparison, anomaly review
- Report — PDF summary + raw CSV within 1 business day
Units that fail to stabilize hashrate within 30 minutes are paused and the client is contacted before we continue.
What We Test
- ASIC miners (SHA-256, Scrypt, and other algorithms) at 0.05 TH/s and above
- GPU mining rigs with dedicated PSU metering
- Used and new hardware, with condition notes in every report
We do not test USB hobby miners, laptop CPUs, or units requiring firmware modification to reach the 0.05 TH/s floor.
